Dear Geovani
The issue with advertisers is that those are companies which aim for profit at the end ... however they do not care for the impact they create in the market as much as the trade-owner cares.
In this case the best methods for market expansion is to tie-up with society. This can be done in different ways, such as sponsoring education, sports, social activities, etc... This method creates better awareness about the product and at the same time it spread by word of mouth. The related costs sometimes are even less than advertising in Media.
Currently what is happening in the market is a misuse by advertising agencies to the values of the consumer, and at the end the consumer become parented and oriented by such advertsiment and commercials. I am not denying the important role of media, as much as I am eager to see that the media is used for good-will purposes instead of parenting the consumers will.
The trade firms, lost with severe competetion are contributing with the advertising agencies to mislead and misuse the right of consumer for independant choice. And since the consumers are not highly educated on their choices, sometimes they get lost among this big media tide.
To solve this issue; some groups such as the Mediawatch-UK should be found around the globe to create the consumer awareness and also to advise trade firms that they should use social methods for their advertisement instead of just using conventional commercials.
