Generally the sales management cycle or a sales cycle is as follows (according to me )

1. generate a lead/contact them
2. qualify customer
3. understand their need
4. Identify the solutions for them
5. Proposals
6. Negotiations/closure
7. implementation & follow up payments, if any

these are 7 steps in a sales life cycle. Can also be termed as funneling.
