| Dear all, please can you help me that i'm studying in course & i have adked to write on case as follwos: You work at the home office of a major automobile manufacturer. Your company plans to introduce a new type of automobile that runs on electricity. It is very environmentally friendly, but is far more expensive to maintain than a conventional gasoline powered vehicle. In addition, it will only run 300 miles between charging. You are a part of a team that must figure out how to sell this new type of automobile to the public. Go through the process of knowledge development, persuasion, decision, implementation and confirmation (how you will accomplish each stage) so that the vehicle will be popular with the general population of automobile buyers. With being "environment friendly" as the only benefit, the vehicle is likely to be popular only with the environment and not so much with the general vehicle buying population. The few environmentalists are rather likely to look amused, but wont have the money to buy it. You are starting on a wrong pedestal, trying to make this car popular with the general public. You need to figure out which segment this car is likely to appeal to, and then target those segments with customized marketing messages. If you need to figure out the appropriate segment, please collect some more benefits. Being environment friendly is not enough. What about speed? Maintenance hassles? Pick up? Durability? Control? Comfort? Operational Conveniences? etc...Once you assemble all those benefits, you will have some idea whose problems are being solved by this car and thus whom to target. Targetting the mass market is a horrible idea.
