Managing Sales people

Dear All,

We have a new sales manager in our company, he came from a good company and has been a good performer there. His reference check was done and the feedback was very good. He is on a comfortable fixed salary with us and there is no pressure of targets as such.

Now its been a few months that he has joined and his performance in terms of revenue is nil.

My question is how can we keep a check on his performance i.e. whether he is making his best effort or not..

Would appreciate all suggestions...

Hi,
There is Chinese proverb "Only a good communicator should open a shop" Without having a stick of Pressure it is just stupidity to expect results frm the guys of Marketing. If needs result you have to on them always. Start taking daily report, provide them a formate of it, I hope it will surely work for u.
