Hi,
kindly suggest how to get approval for exemption of weekly holiday and public holiday under Labour act. Guide the procedures, and compliance to be maintained for records.

Dear Ganesh

Please refer Weekly holidays Act.

Normally you must submit an application to the Labour Commissioner office in which your establishment got registered. You must give an assurance in that application that you will give weekly off for those who are engaged on Sundays/Weekly Holidays within next 3 working days.

You must maintain the attendance register in which whoever worked on Sunday for them Compensatory Off to be written on the attendance register on any one of the following 3 working days.
