Customer Loyalty for Motorcycles

Dear All,

Am doing a project to study customer loyalty for the various motorcycle brands in india. What makes a customer loyal to his first brand? Why should he buy his second bike from the same brand? If he is buying his second bike not from his first brand then what leads him for this deflection? What are the parameters a customer considers while buying his first bike? Why should he go for a motorcycle and not other modes of transport?What should be my target market for the study?

These are few of the questions i need answer to, ill appreciate for all your valuable suggestions and comments.

Warm Regards

Dear James

There are many factors that play within the choice of a consumer to purchase something;

1- Brand Loyalty: if the consumer has tried a brand and is convinced of the quality and benefit margin that he obtains then the next purchase will be from the same brand. Creating Brand Loyalty although appears to be difficult, but is the main issue here. Advertisement plays a good role in this. Marlboro, Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola, Gilette, P&G and many other world-wide manufacturers were aware of this main factor and they used it in a smart way. The first cigarette for most kids who started smoking young was Marlboro (US Statistics) while in Europe Gilette was the first razor that 70% of teenagers started to shave used for the first time.

2- Quality Assurance: A product if not complies with the international standards may survive as long as international similar goods are rare. Whenever those goods are abundant at an affordable cost the local product dies slowly. To reach to a point where the consumer beleives in your goods; you should always assure conformity with international standards and always you should advertise this in your commercials.

Well the list is too long ... tonight as it becomes late here I will stop at this point and leave the rest for future messages.

Best Regards

Nabeel
