I think most top sales people prefer to be on a 100% commission pay structure. I'd be VERY careful when telling a top salesperson that he will be moving from a commission based pay structure to something else. I'd hate to lose a top salesperson because of some theory that says straight commission is outdated because of "changes" in the marketplace.
