Hi Vivek,

Your oratorial skills, unfortunately, will not be of much help for a career in training. It can help you build confidence while standing in front of a group of trainees. For training, you need sound communication skills, especially listening skills and empathy. You need to understand the trainee's requirements, their abilities and be able to communicate and train in a manner that helps adults learn themselves. Making a great lecture will not help.

You also need to pick up content knowledge. You should be able to express this knowledge in ways that trainees will understand. Training most often involves games, role plays and simulation exercises, and the lecture part of the training is actually very minimal. Most lecture sessions are conducted over power point slides, which avoids need for any oratory. Trainers usually avoid lecturing and instead indulge in sustained interactions with trainees, which is more productive and well appreciated.

There are various organizations that conduct "train the trainer" trainings, which you could enroll for. You could also join one of the organizations that provide trainings, as a trainer.
