Hi, Our's is a Healthcare Service, I am working as associate in sales department, as a startup company we want to increase our sales with hospitals. Can anyone help me suggesting how to sell a service. It will be great if i can find any sort of attachments or ideas which will help me to improve my sales skill.

Hi, According to me first of all you have to understand your product and your target companies which can actually take your services. Like if you want to target Hospitals you should first of all, you must have the list of all the hospitals with their contact info, then try contacting them and tell about your services and your USP.

There is a classic illusion you have. No special skills or different skills are required to sell a service. In fact, whether you sell an aeroplane or a soap, or a service such as yours, the basic principles of selling remain the same. Your salespeople are actually selling themselves.

People/customers don't buy products and services. They just buy anything from people they like.

That might sound weird but that is true.

I'd suggest you train your salespeople in selling. Selling is not easy. It can be frustrating without taking it up as a subject of study. With proper study and training, your team starts to kick ass.

If the Pareto Principle (that 80% of results come from 20% of effort) applies more aptly to any profession, it is the profession of sales. 20% of salespeople make 80% of the sales in any company, because they have made an orderly study of the sales process and applied a few secrets.

I teach two courses in selling. One is a tactical course named How To Sell More: Secrets that the Top 20% Salesmen Use. I think more testimonials will help in service marketing. As service is intangible , you have to create service cues to market the services. More credentials of your Doctors need to be advertised. look for competitive advantage and High- light that particular aspect.
The service personnel Training is important. Also Quality services will gives you an edge.
