prakash maheshwariIt is very difficult to make pharma sales calls over phone as it is not a direct consumer sales. The beneficiary is patient and not a doctor, therefore doctors are least interested to know the rather similar products. Also here the customers are more informed about the usage of the product than the seller, therefore its more of brand building and brand reminding activity being performed by the seller, who is not always welcomed by doctors. Yes, now a days pharma sales promotion activity is being performed thru mobile SMS where-in customers interest is on priority.
U can write me at to know more abt pharma sales and mktg

drmahmoodhThanks prakash. Actually you may have know that Bangladesh is very good in pharma marketing and we actually compete with other countries in pharma export. In Bnagladesh we have all the known marketing practice in pharmaceutica field except e-detailing. E-detailing is at present imposible because most of the doctors here still don't know about computer much. But one thing is possible that is using the mobile. I am searching for any idea of marketing which involves mobile. One of indian MR wrote in an article that she records video of a renowned doctor's comment about her product with permission in her mobile phone and show it to the others of her terrotiry and you know seniour's comments always add value to the juniour doctors. I think it is an innovative and good idea.

bmohantyHi, I think one option is to send video mails which includes all the details of product & consumes less time of doctors.
