I'm new to this forum and must say its a sublime interface to collaborate with excellence like you all.
I have had problem in contacting a right person the key decision maker in my approach, could some one assist me on how to efficiently pitch an internationally based prospect. What is the effective strategy for international marketing/sales. Cause e mail marketing has declined and would further do, no one gives a thought at the first touch e mail.
Please someone guide me on this.

I'm not sure what product you are marketing. Any way I'm also a marketing person in the S/w industry. What we do normally before sending any mail to the concerned person is we analyze the prospects website and findout who is the right person to discuss about our solutions. We will try to reach through the telephone numbers given in the site. We will have a brief initial discussion about our solutions. And then we will get a permission and their email id for sending the intro email. Then we will send the email with the read receipt option.
Next day or the 2nd day we will call them and find out their feedback for our solutions. So this is how we reach the right person internationally and also locally.

Thanks for your valuable inputs, I do the same and believe that most of the marketing people follow this strategy to penetrate globally. But still the point which I was about to raise is that we do not have any US representation and most of our prospect lies in US.
Although our management is working to build a US representation but its a long process, next we are an e learning company and my focuss is towards marketing of bespoke e learning services and training applications like Learning Management Systems. We have a comprehensive list of clients. But guide me to this as we are offering service so we need to have a collaboration with the client to understand the intricacies properly.
Thereby I would like to know what is the effective approach for that, is partnering and getting resellers, channel partners an fledged answer to it!!!!!!

What a coincidence... I do in the same industry.
For getting partners and resellers you have to build your contacts initially. To start with you can try partnering with other leading elearning companies in the market. You can partner with them for providing contents, technologies etc.. in future you definitely can create your own database. Make sure your company is a known company to most of the users of your product.
Target your potential resellers by way of their product. Find out their strength and where you can partner with them. In stead of sending boring mail about our products/solutions alone try to analyze the website of your resellers and partners and take some interesting points about them. Start your mail with those points. Definitely people like to read about their success stories instead of some one else's stories...
